Hybrid renewable energy supply system
« on: June 13, 2016, 10:10:07 AM »
Hello internet world!

I am currently in my final year of mechanical engineering at Stellenbosch university in South Africa.

I have been given a thesis topic to study the supply of a small (3kW-10kW) domestic electricity supply system with at least three different types of renewable energy, solar, wind and hydro.

The methodology will be programmed in an excel spreadsheet for ease of use. The primary objective is to optimise the design to ensure the lowest cost system.

I'm looking for information regarding the sizing of the energy generating systems to run this hybrid supply system.
for example a website which gives different sizes and specs for wind turbines and hydro turbines and prices.

any other advice on similar designs would be appreciated.
