After a conversation  with Alan a fellow Radio Ham, he came up with this circuit, which I'm currently building, now finally I can get an old receiver of mine aligned up properly "This is what we need" Alan has some fantastic circuits on his you -tube site ,I'm currently building most of them, worth a look for the constructor. ;)
