Hi all/Martin -
I'm putting a small bench/workspace together and found your videos on isolation and potential shocking dangers at the bench.
For the past 25 years or so I've always relied on UPSes to provide stable power to my computer-related equipment, and I plan to follow the same practice as I'm now in an apartment where the generator kicks in after a short delay whenever the mains power fails. Whenever the generator engages/disengages, the mains power can surge as it is extremely poorly regulated as well.
Therefore, I plan to run my bench equipment via a UPS; right now I only have a Tektronics 'scope and a Keysight programmable bench PSU. If anything were to float, it will be the DUT, not my 'scope.
Unfortunately I've not been able to locate a 240vdc capable inline-GFCI (with UK plug/sockets) -- so I'll have to rely on the GFCI fitted in the breakerboard.
Any further thoughts on this?
Cheers, M.
