The Portable Dog Killer....

Ok...ok...for those that have issue with the name....it is now being called the "Canine calmer", "Portable Bark Killer",  "the Hush Puppy", "Portable Sound Blaster", and "Electronic High Power Dog Whistle".

If you have not followed Steve Gibson (Shields UP!, SpinRite, etc) and Leo Laporte and their Security Now! podcasts  you might be missing something...

But getting back to the subject....watch this Security Now podcast where Steve talks about the Portable Dog Killer he made in his teens...it's hysterical:

Steve is now developing a new version which can be based on several hardware prototyping platforms.

He has also shown the new prototype on some of the latest Security Now podcasts. He will be giving away (I'm sure they are gone by now...) 20 free kits so that folks can build it and then post video of the working results...

Yes, love that show, is the only one i watch religiously. Nice thing is you can watch live in the evening on Wednesdays too.

I did build one similar, but lower power. Was not effective against the local cat, though possibly it was deaf............
