Hi, I'm interested in purchasing a UT61E meter. Can you tell me your current price and shipping to Ireland?
Thanks!
Billy.

Hi Billy, please check your PM.

And just for everyone's information - the price of the UT61E for forum members has always stayed the same at $55 [EDIT Feb 5, 2013: It has now been changed to $57 for non-US buyers, but tracking will be included].

Hi Joker94,

The offer is still good but I need to check if I still have any in stock (I'm ordering another batch from my supplier but shipment has been delayed). I will get back to you in a PM. Thanks!

Cheers,
Franky

I have updated the pricing and shipping info in the opening post of this thread. I have now made Registered Air Mail the default shipping method for this multimeter, because long delays and missing packages in some countries have caused some problems for me :(

1. rough estimation of delivery time

It seems to usually take between 2-3 weeks from HK to Greece.

2. do you know anything about custom charges?

Unfortunately I have no idea. I can ask some of my previous Greek customers to find out if you like.

3. Is it possible to send it marked as gift, to avoid custom charges?

Yes, if that's what you prefer.

Well if you could ask them that would be great.

from a little research i did, it seems that if you use a courier service it will definately go through customs, but if you use national post office there are good chances you will avoid charges.

One of my Greek customers responded and told me he had no problem with customs at all. He didn't have to pay anything, but he said it might have to do with the declared value of the package. I can do the same for your package and hopefully it will arrive the same way.

Received my UT61E today, thanks Franky for the efficient and friendly service. Delivery to Ireland took about 3 weeks.

Good little meter, has one of the fastest updating displays I've seen, especially the bar graph. Such a pity it doesn't have auto power off (possibly the only meter made in the last 25 years not to have it!), but will be useful as a data logging meter.

Billy.

The bar graph's not shabby, but if you've never seen a 2Hz display before..

Easily modified to include it. See here: http://www.designelectronics.com.au/DesignElectronics_UT61E-APO.htm

Lol true, you don't get away with saying much around here, yes 2Hz is standard enough but it does feel very responsive at autoranging.

Yes, saw that mod alright. But absolutely no excuse for not including that out of the factory. Well unless maybe the designer was drunk, or the head of the company had just invested his pension fund in Duracell or Ever Ready.

The autoranging is indeed quite fast, but you have to discard the first reading as it doesn't alter the decimal place properly.

Cost cutting.

So, is it actually sure that I'll get a meter in the original box, not like Martin's Uni-t?
