I also take a look at an ovenized crystal oscillator (OCXO) and demonstrate how sensitive they can be to temperature changes, and shock. I look at the internal crystal oscillator drift / calibration of the following instruments on my bench:
* HP / Agilent / Keysight 58131A frequency counter
* Aim TTi TF930 frequency counter
* Aim TTi TG2511A function / frequency generator
* Fluke 164H multifunction / frequency counter
* Fluke PM6685 universal frequency counter
