This is something I bought cheap on Ebay the other year and I thought I'd post because it was quite unusual in that it has 4 tools in one unit; I'm not sure when it was built but I've used it quite a bit whilst learning more and more about electronics; it was a step up from my previous odd bits of gear but now I'm ready to move on and upgrade.
If anyone has one of these and has got a service manual for it I'd be really interested in getting hold of a copy.

Very nice. 1980's look about it. Pics of the inside will tell which 4 instruments it was made from. I will guess the counter is Intersil and a pretty standard appnote example complete with ECL prescaler. The DVM will be interesting as normally there is an ICL7106/7 solution there, here there is a pretty nice 5 digit backlit LCD with 3 displays to show additional info. I would guess this is a Cyrustek meter or a predecessor of it. Power supply probably uses a 7107 chipset and nice having the separate 5 and 15V rails. function generator is probably XR2206 based, or a discrete solution based on the GW function generator.

I have never see that brand before, but there is a significant amount of brands which came and go as comets.
Service manual for it ? I do wish you good luck, but it will not be easy.

I think that I found the dad of this device. ;)

I've already tried to email them before but with no luck; if it goes badly out of spec I'll crack it open and take a peek; app-notes for chipsets can be a real gold-mine for info!

I took out my DMM module to have a look the other day, and took some pics; this one uses the MAX134 chipset.

That LED modules looks really nice :)

It is really nice and clear; do they still make these, does anyone know where I could get one similar to this from?

I've never seen a fancy one like that. I wouldn't be surprised if it was custom, but I may be wrong.
I expect it would be possible to make something like that by hand, using individual LEDs on a PCB and having some sort of printed or etched overlay.
