Title: Martin, What happened to your Rigol scope?
Post by: retiredcaps on December 29, 2012, 05:40:53 PM
Hi Martin,

I have seen you talk about your Rigol scope not working, but I don't recall or seen anything about what is actually wrong with it?  Did I miss the information as a youtube comment (which I don't follow) or somewhere else?

It might make a good repair video if you are willing to share some of the details.  Some members might be very good at this type of repair?

Hello good man,

It's not a Rigol...it's cheap Xytron DSO1042CML (Aktakom / Atten ADS1042CML)...and yes, I plan to make it part of the "A Look Inside" series so we can have a bash at getting it working again....failing that...I might use it to demonstrate (and educate myself) earthing / grounding issues with oscilloscopes.

It would be a good chance for me too.
Nice idea.
