Title: T4D #50 - Multimeter sale blocked - U1232A
Post by: retiredcaps on February 18, 2013, 07:50:04 PM
Hi Martin,

If you are going to compare the Agilent U1232A to the Fluke 17B, I think it might be better comparing it to the Fluke 115 since it will be more "apples to apples".  Agilent clearly designed the 1230 series after looking at the Fluke 110 series.

When doing the review, can you address/comment

1) revision number

2) Reported problem like

http://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/problem-with-agilent-u1232a/

3) measure the lumens of multimeter flashlight

4) internal logging feature

On paper, the U1232A blows away both the Fluke 17B and 115.  I would like to get one myself, but they are difficult, if not impossible, to find used at a "bargain" price.

Hello retiredcaps,

Good points, and yes the key comparison will be with the 115. I will be broadening the review somewhat to included a few "pears" but hopefully the rational for that will come out in the video.

Cheers,
Martin.
