Title: Solar Charge Controllers in parallel
Post by: bugzbuks on June 11, 2013, 08:54:00 AM
I have a strange configuration question. I've asked around and people seem very confused by this.

1) I want multiple solar charge controllers (SCC) each charging a battery each. Can multiple SCCs be connected in parallel like this?

2) I have an extra battery bank that is used to power the SCC on bad days. Can a SCC power another SCC?

3) Normal days the battery bank is bypassed and charges the batteries directly. Is it possible to have a switch to redirect the power where it is needed?

4) Lastly, is it possible to replace the extra battery bank with a diesel genie instead? Can you connect a SCC to a genie producing 12V DC?

Thank you for the help (again)
