Title: steve30's UV exposure box
Post by: steve30 on June 15, 2013, 12:27:38 PM
I'm building a UV exposure box. A photo is attached. I think it looks quite nice so far :).

But I have a question. Did I ought to put some metal in underneath the tubes to use as reflectors?

Thanks

Just give the bottom and sides 2 coats of white outdoor acrylic water based paint, and that will do. It reflects the UV light quite well and diffuses it as well evenly onto the glass top sheet. Adheres well to the wood and the bottom chipboard. I would place a cardboard light shield over the electronic ballasts though, as they will be damaged by the UV light in a short time. Paint it as well.
