National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) has approved residential power systems to contribute to the SA power grid and save money

Mmmm...I would like to see the actual costs and rates involved.
Up to now you had to pay thousands of Rands for the bi-directional meter...go through a great deal of paper work...pay a monthly admin / service fee to feed back into the grid...gain no credit for what you feed back...just a slightly reduced rate on what you use.

I think at this point, If I can feed back all I use and not have to pay for electricity that would be great.
I am happy if the municipality only pay me their cost rate, but if I give them 1000kw and consume a 1000kw, I would expect my usage to be zero,
Using them much like a battery, I think though that Eskom is under such pressure and already their 2 new power station are not sufficient for SA's needs, this has forced them to a point were they are happy to accept power where ever they can get it.
