Hi Martin,
Don't let the jerks get you down.  Your videos are always interesting and informative.

If you decide to explain your intent of this video, it will be helpful to explain that the AUTO Trigger modes of scopes have manufacturer dependent specs that limit their ability to detect and trigger on a signal.  For example, on my RIGOL DS4000 series, the spec states that the signal must be at least 50 Hz with a duty cycle of at least 1% and an amplitude of at least 20 mVpp.
