Guys, can anyone recommend me a good mains energy monitor?
I would want to measure the power consumption of my appliances at home. I've search the internet and Prodigit 2000M seems to be the best. It's selling for about USD50 here

The specs seems impressive http://www.prodigit.com/pdf/e2000mu-01.pdf
oh and what's does the 30ppm in the specs means? thanks!

Hi,
Did you see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6tU2iaeAGM
It may help...and that "Prodigit" looks like the basic Kill-A-Watt meter that sells for around $27

Cheers,
Martin.

OMG.. Prodigit and killawatt or whatever other variants are freaking unsafe!
I bought one and opened it to see and the hot and neutral are indeed side by side. Look at this teardown by connor wolf.

hi, nice tear-down!
I could be wrong, but I think it means the KWH accuracy is 30mW.
