FLIR announces a new device that turns an iPhone into a thermal imaging sensor. Proposed pricing is $350 USD with availability in August 2014. Here's the CNN report:

wou! i like iphone more now. 350usd is like 260€ thats crazy good...however real price can be different

The good gent that developed this unit, Eric, was at our last meetup: http://www.meetup.com/Charged-Conversation/members/139423912/

He missed his Kickstarter goal but he plans to try again and I hope to give him some exposure for his next attempt.

This area is becoming very competitive...watch this space (videos) over the next couple weeks.
