Title: Micro Invertors with DC battery retention
Post by: Sagittaire on November 22, 2014, 07:37:06 AM
Hi can you advise what hardware configuration I would need for PV array using micro Invertors but for an interactive grid-tie system?  I would then generate AC at the array and to charge the batteries convert back to DC? Is there a piece of standard kit that I could use as the controller? I looked at the Outback Radian Invertor that takes multiple AC inputs from grid, generator etc. I am just not clear on how to do a grid tie interactive installation using micro Inverters, can somebody point me in the right direction please. Installation is South Africa so I need the backup power.

Hi Fergus,

I hope to do a video on that soon that will show how the Radian works and is connected to micro inverters.

Cheers,
Martin.
