It is a labour of love to sit there for 45 minutes placing those smd parts.
I know I would be frustrated.
BTW, I wonder if there is any sense testing those smd parts before placing them onto the pcb? Buying from a reputable distributor helps, but they can ship duds or bad batches?

I doubt it, as he is buying from a reputable supplier there is very little chance of getting a DOA, especially with SMD made in large quantities with good QC. Biggest issue will be mixing them up in storage. Single unit test on receipt to confirm they are the right part will be all that is needed at most.

Thanks guys! @retiredcaps, yeah its pretty exhausting by the end, but I have spent more time trying to solder whole boards that size (I know some people are really really fast at hand soldering, but not me). Its either a labor of love or stubbornness!
