Hello.

There is no connection from the casing to ground?   ???
But (thin!) hot main wires are direct attached to the metal chassis from back to the front (switch)?  :o
Hmm...

Greetings from Germany,

Hartmut

Supposed to be a Class II isolation, though it looks more like most electronics from the 1990's in having only a single insulated mains lead, no ground ( though there probably is a grounding lug on the back) and only single insulated wiring inside. They do fail causing shock, but that is not too common before they are replaced with new.

Very likely a standard Sony/Phillips chipset under the board, 3 IC's doing all the work, with a 2k 6116 RAM chip as deinterleaver. Looks like this is the LED/LCD display version, not enough secondaries on the transformer for the VFD versions which use 2 more secondary windings. This has 5V and + and - 12V rails.
