------------------------------ Click "Show more" -------------------------------------------
A look at the challenges of measuring power supply noise and ripple on oscilloscopes and multimeters. A look at the HP 3400A True RMS Voltmeter
which has enough bandwidth, impedance matching and crest factor to do these measurements to less than 1 mV or up to 300 V.

General Discussion / Re: Super Thin Wire
« Last post by SeanB on October 14, 2020, 07:56:04 AM »
Yes, you probably will want 28AWG wire, as that looks a lot like this, though you could also order enamelled copper wire instead, same gauge, and have it even thinner, though it will be single strand.

Otherwise do you have any of those cheap USB cords around that you can simply cut and strip the outer sleeve off, giving you 4 colours of this wire for nearly free.

Solar Panel Test Bed - Part 3

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZJ_cnqnWL4

In this 3 part series I discuss the following:
* The process and this to take into account to build my solar panel tester
* Why do thin film / amorphous solar panels potentially perform better under low light and shading than other solar panel technologies.
* The build and calibration of my solar panel test bed.

Editor's note:
Sorry about the slight delay, been doing a PC rebuild and update, going to SSD for things. big difference. Just a little stress in the final part having to reset the BIOS as it borked up and set a password. Been a busy 2 days of work, coming amongst a whole lot of other things as well.
