Hi Folks,

A Facebook follower posted this question with a link to a picture (attached here):

"Hi buddy. Know you are busy but wonder if you know what this is, its marked as a diode but wont test in dmm. Has come from a cctv ptz that lost control the number is IB or B0610 2rm 470-8 and have failed to find any info on this. Have posted 2 pictures of this on here. Thanks Wayne"

Transient suppressor. It is a spark gap that will turn on and conduct when it reaches breakdown voltage, It will withstand 470V and breaks down typically at 800-900V to present almost a short circuit until the current drops to a low level ( under around 1A) and clamps the voltage to typically 30-100V.
