Red Pitaya External Trigger
« on: August 05, 2015, 01:06:59 AM »
Hi,

I'm working on a experimental project that using Red Pitaya. The experiment uses the Generator & Oscilloscope application and it requires 2 input channels and 1 output channel. However, both the input channels cannot be used as trigger due to the form of the signal, so I'm thinking to use the output (I'm using a triangular wave) as a trigger. Since Red Pitaya only has 2 input channels, I'm thinking somehow to link the output to the extension connectors on Red Pitaya and use the external trigger on the Oscilloscope application. I'm not sure how I would be able to achieve this or if this is even possible because I don't have much experience with electronics. From what I've read, the external trigger uses extension connector DIO0_P pin with voltage level 3.3V, but I'm also not sure what that means. Con anyone share your insights on how this can be done?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
