Hello all:
Just found Mr. Lorton's Utube tutorial on basic electronics. I'd like to introduce myself in preparation of studying basic electronics with you all!
I m a second generation Californian. My father was an electronics engineer. His livelihood was through the exigency of wit and knowledge.
Following from him and raised in the 60s, learning how to learn became a skill for tolerating the consumptive political deconstruction of personal freedom given over to wealth behaviors through appetite-driven promulgators' Weberian strategies. These strategies were and are masquerades of utilitarian failures as solutions to very real human interpersonal needs. Thus everyone is in the movies, yes? How Apropos.
Learning to learn as used here, is the reference to autocthonous ability-manifest skills derived from 30 years of life education sans post secondary education. At the age of 44 entered college with an on-par high school diploma college for the first time with the self as western socialization. Subsequent to entry at 54 earned a terminal Ph.D from University of California. No fantasies allowed there.
I am trained in the understanding of science and not electronics:
Trained in a) the philosophy of science as a human enterprise, b) statistical methodology, and c) the individual behaving-er within experimentally and statistically constrained observed inputs and outputs assuming cellular networks orchestrate by action potential in a non-linear transactional expressivity.
Most specifically in the analysis and theoretical understanding of human and perceived human behaving conforming through paradigmatic sequelae, accessible and then governable in a deterministic monism. The unit of analysis is at the individual level. Concomitant with this is training in systems neuroscience.
Quantitative methodologies utilizing linear and non-linear experimentally and statistically controlled technical investigations of correlational and causal patterns is componential for answering principled primary research questions. A goal is to resolve such questions to multifractioned one-degree-of-freedom-testing without undue reductionism.
I am not a logical positivist, but rather ascribe to critical realism, only seeking deference from those who might wish to give me credit for a multi-leveled simultaneous and transactional approach to contemporaneous problems; in a manner modern problems are metaphorically posed and exemplified through yesterday's senate committee hearings.
Electronics is substantively oriented as providing basic understanding with the limitations of thinking constrained to artefacts manifesting in diminution of humane experiences related to human solutions for the post-modern emotivist individualist milieu to which those behaving are slaved (i.e., money as human wealth).
I hope someone will forgive the appearance of blather and rather than condemning, source a meaning in context of the studying electronics through the aegis of ya'll and especially Mr. Lorton. That is to say, you may derive much pleasure from electronics but have not solved any human problems yet . . . and it shows. I am trying to make a point by introducing who am here.
Do not show contempt, rather that you have spent
adios,
Jon
