Funny thing happened this morning........
Come to work and the boss asks me to look at his shaver. Interesting, did not know Panasonic made shavers. 20 years old, with a wall wart to charge it. Took a half hour to dismantle it enough to get to the batteries inside, 2 Panasonic NimH near AA cells, but with a very unusual connection scheme.
Interesting driver as well, not an electric motor driving an eccentric cam, but a proper linear motor with restoring spring assemblies on each side made from stainless steel spring plates. Fault is the original cells are very dead, gave them a quick brute force charge and they did recover a little, went from 1v to 1V2 and were then able to run the charger. I think I will take the camera into work tomorrow, along with the UT81B and have a quick look to see the waveform across this motor, and to see if it will charge new cells properly.
I do think photos will come sometime soon........
