New lab and kit....
« on: June 05, 2013, 11:28:17 AM »
Hello Folks,

Just a quick sneak peek at the "temporary" lab set-up before I post a T4D on Friday.

Some kit here or on the way for review:

* Fluke VT02 Visual IR Thermometer
* Agilent Handheld Digital Multimeter, 6,000 Count,U1233A - I explain why I have this in the video...
* Yokogawa CW10 Single Phase Power Meter
* Maynuo M8813 precision Power supply / source / 5.5 digit multimeter
* Voltagestandard  Vref5-002, Precision 0.002% DC Voltage Reference
* Heath Built Voltage Reference Source EUW-16A - See PDF below
* AD584LH 4-Channel 2.5v/7.5v/5v/10v High Precision Voltage Reference Module
* Precision Variable decade resistor resistance Box ZX21
* Vichy VC97 Multimeter
* VICTOR VC97 Auto Range Digital Multimeter
* Extech LT300 Light Meter
* Multiple lighting technologies and solar panels

And a fair bit more...

Cheers,
Martin.

Looking neat! And a very interesting lineup of gear to review! Really looking forward to seeing them.

Is the ZX21 resistance box Chinese made? I recently got myself something similar (ZX99-IIA 8-decade DC resistance box) and also helped another customer source one that works with AC too.

LOOks very nice, just remember to add GFCI and Arc current circuit breakers to the house or at least the lab area. You are now in the USA where it is an optional extra, not a standard.

Remember 110VAC is still not something you will like to connect to, even if it is lower voltage........

But if you have the wiring right you can have 230VAC 60Hz electricity to power the lab

Remember to change the settings on your cameras to 60Hz or you will get flicker on the videos.

Martin's new draws are too organised. Loads of space that could be used for other things...

Now, I wonder where my side cutters went :)

Solved the side cutter problem, bought 3 new pairs of the cheap ones this week, then found mine when I was back home. Now have 2 pairs still in the plastic bags to hang up on the hooks.

Thanks again...they generally put the GFCI outlets in the kitchen and bathrooms...but not in other locations...certainly that's the case in our condo. I have a GFCI power strip on the way for the lab...

Thanks Sean.
