Mmmm...I would like to see the actual costs and rates involved.

Up to now you had to pay thousands of Rands for the bi-directional meter...go through a great deal of paper work...pay a monthly admin / service fee to feed back into the grid...gain no credit for what you feed back...just a slightly reduced rate on what you use.

I think at this point, If I can feed back all I use and not have to pay for electricity that would be great.
I am happy if the municipality only pay me their cost rate, but if I give them 1000kw and consume a 1000kw, I would expect my usage to be zero,

Using them much like a battery, I think though that Eskom is under such pressure and already their 2 new power station are not sufficient for SA's needs, this has forced them to a point were they are happy to accept power where ever they can get it.
