Einhell log splitter resque
« on: September 14, 2015, 05:38:14 AM »
Hi! How would I wire this up?
Almost brand new when a clumsy log broke the starter box.. and due to my tinkering habit it landed by me!
What size capacitor... start.... run or dual?
I have an old switch box as well which I can use!
I realise this isn't much of a challenge to you guys, but I would be really chuffed if I could fix it!
I'm in Norway....
Cheers!

Probably will work with a 50uF capacitor, connected to red and black. Do you have the remains of the original control box, which might have a little diagram stuck inside showing how to connect the lot.

Resistances of the connections then. The black wires are a common most likely and then the resistance between each wire in combination. Probably will be under 2R in all cases. The higher resistance one will be the start winding which goes to the capacitor.
