1. First flight with video cameraFirst flight with video camera, beautiful calm day. My 3rd flight with the Radian. I managed to catch thermals after this flight and the Radian just floated aloft for about 40 min. Had to pull into a dive to get back down from about 400-500 meters. A wonderful bird. I can highly recommend this glider, even for beginners…but…do read the Radian forums as there’s loads of good advice to be had.

2. Mounting the FlyCamOne2 video cameraI thought the camera and its position would have a noticeable affect on the glider’s flight performance… but so far I’ve not experienced any change at all.

3. ParkZone Radian with GPS flight loggingI used my Garmin Edge 305 GPS (cycling computer) to log some flight stats. The Garmin Edge does a great job as an alternative to a dedicated flight logger. The full stats for the entire flight can be downloaded to a PC.
My CG (center of gravity) is normally tail heavy so I normally use some ballast in the nose. I removed that for this flight and place the GPS as far back as it would go…as luck would have it my CG was spot on.

4. Aerial photography from a ParkZone Radian?Just a thought…I used a FlyCamOne v2 camera with the lens pointed straight down to get some aerial shots. The wind did not help as it was moderate and buffeting, but with a little more altitude, an HD wide angle camera…the Radian could be a viable aerial photography platform…?
