Title: Supplying power from DC 6v Solar Panel to 5.2v Modem
Post by: vasukinv on May 08, 2013, 02:41:59 AM
I have a DC Solar Panel which provides the output of upto 6v. There's an external controlling device to switch the output (3v and 6v). I don't know how many amperes of current is supplies. How to find it?
EDIT: Since it charges the Nokia phones very well and, I guess it has 500mA output.

I had another panel of the same size. Can I produce 1A current by connecting 2 solar panels(of 6v .5A) in parallel?

And the broadband modem I use takes 1A current with 5.2v difference. Is it possible to run the modem directly from the solar panel when there's enough sunlight falling on it?
