There is a new version of the Victor VC97 available, it now features true RMS AC measurement. Seem to have addressed the issue with test lead sockets too. Also uses a pp3 battery instead of AAA on earlier version, presumably needed to power the true RMS chip?

Now available from quite a few sellers on AliExpress, I bought mine for only US$25, must be the cheapest True RMS multimeter ever........I'm very pleased with it  :)
